This is the ‘Win with Stories’ newsletter. It’s focused on helping founders, entrepreneurs and business owners. Every week I send an email with a business or life message wrapped in a short story. I also share one actionable tip to help you enhance your business storytelling skills.

If your business was a superhero…

Please, indulge me for 30 seconds.

Asterix and Obelix are warriors protecting their Gaulish village from the mighty Romans.

Whenever they have a big battle or challenge they go to an eccentric character called Getafix who makes a magic potion.

This potion helps them get the strength to beat the Romans every time.

Now, imagine that founders and entrepreneurs are Asterix and Obelix. Then The Story Co is Getafix and the magic potion are stories.

But we go take this a step forward, and help our clients create the magic potion on their own through coaching, training and consulting.

Over 100 entrepreneurs and founders have increased their success in sales, team-building and fundraising through our work.

So yes, if you know Asterix or Obelix who need a fix, connect them to us. What I mean is if you know any founder or entrepreneur who wants to win big, get us introduced to them.

Let’s concoct some success stories 🙂

This is the elevator pitch for The Story Co inspired by the question ‘If your business was a superhero…’ that I asked in the first session of my live online group coaching called ‘Founder’s Pitch’.

But after I worked on the answer for myself, I decided to always introduce my company like this. And you know what? It’s working.

People’s eyes are lighting up. They talk about their superheroes. And sales calls turn into conversations rather than pitches.

My childhood superheroes, Asterix and Obelix, must be very happy. In fact, I’ve decided to order an omnibus of their stories on Amazon after rediscovering my love for them.

One communication tip for today:

Have a fun introduction for your business or startup.

In the world of business and career, we are way too serious. We forget that people connect better when they are having fun. So yes, a fun intro for your company, startup or yourself will help you connect and convert better.

If you are looking for a prompt, then ‘If your business/company was a superhero…’ is one of the best I’ve come across.

Two things:

  1. Feel free to send your company’s 60-word superhero introduction as a reply to this email and I will be happy to share feedback. Will share three best ones on a Linkedin post as well
  2. Also share other prompts, questions or ideas to create a fun introduction for business. I will be sure to give credit to the best ones in this newsletter and Linkedin.
  3. Also share other prompts, questions or ideas to create a fun introduction for businesses. I will be sure to give credit to the best ones in this newsletter and on Linkedin.

That’s it from Getafix today. Hope you found this newsletter useful 🙂
